After a long career in finance and banking in Taipei and New York I transitioned into higher education. I obtained the College Counseling Certificate from UCLA and then became a college consultant and an MBA admissions officer at Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley. I am also a volunteer essay reader for first-generation students in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I currently reside. I have an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a graduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
My hobbies are exercising, reading and writing. Some of my essay writing has been aired on the Perspectives segment of KQED Public Radio. I also write articles for a local newspaper. I have a teenage son to whom I often say, "Just do your best," passing down the words of my father.
